I still find myself getting lost in the small details of these images, even after making 33 of them!
It’s been a busy time with the day job and family life but I’ve had a good run of creative ideas lately. I really enjoyed making Echoes from Isolation – the whole process of making that body of work unfolded very organically.
I always try to push into unfamiliar places, try new instruments, techniques and plugins to see where it leads. I’ve been experimenting more with granular synthesis and manipulating samples so this may start to form a new release – time will tell.
Things are firing back up in the Eyes of Your Eyes camp, we are working on new music and some experiences that will be revealed soon. I am also thinking about organising an audio visual group exhibition later this year, or early next year. It’s still very early days but I am on the look out for other artists experimenting with sound and video in the Bay of Plenty area (NZ).
As always, you can click the images to see a better quality (colour accurate and less compressed) version, or see the evolving online exhibition at www.scottbrown.co.nz
